The Pushcart Prize: Best of the Small Presses series, published every year since 1976, is the most honored literary project in America. Hundreds of presses and thousands of writers of short stories, poetry and essays have been represented in the pages of our annual collections. Each year most of the writers and many of the presses are new to the series. Our Pushcart Prize editions are found in most libraries and bookstores. Tryst editor will nominate six contributors whose work of poetry, fiction, essays, or chapters from a book review were published in Tryst of that year. *The Best of Tryst will be a print issue of representative work selected from issues throughout the year. Contributors will be notified by email, or post office address. Announcements will be made available on these pages by the end of the year, December 31st.
