ALEJANDRO

Alejandro Escudé is originally from Argentina and has been
writing
poetry for about ten years. Currently he is working as a tutor and
editor while seeking employment as a high school English teacher.
His work has been published in a variety of national and international
magazines. This past March, he won the 2003 University of California
Poet Laureate contest and I earned a masters degree in creative
writing from U.C. Davis in June. “The Immigrant’s Question,”
a sonnet series chronicling his family’s experience immigrating
to the United States from Argentina, was published this year by
Swan Scythe Press in an anthology entitled "How to be This
Man," edited by Sandra McPherson.
