Cold Comfort


In beer commercials
the man gets
a babe,
ten laughs,
and beautiful biceps.

I protest-
detest-
the order of this.

In my life
hops swell,
belts cinch,
babes snore
and funny men befriend
bone white bowls of ceramic.
