What the Snake Really Did


Forbidden fruit was
exchanged for sex.
Moaning against the tree,
Eve climaxed for the first time
as the snake squeezed her
towards little death.

Apple was sour green
and bite-marked with venom
that dripped from Eve's womb.
Adam never knew about hymens,
how to squeeze out
thirst with juices,
eat wildcats to orgasm.

God wasn't there
when snake turned angel,
kissed poison
from Adam's mouth,
brought him to near death
with quick strokes of tongue.

God only knew
that fires were stoked
in the garden
where Lucifer refused
to kneel between Her legs,
be cold-stoned to death
with commandments.
